Collapse of results
After winning an absolute majority in the first elections the Potato Democrats have been steadily losing seats, although they made marginal gains in the September election, the recent election saw a complete collapse with the party failing to win even a single seat, and to make even things even worse losing to the UCP in the Bird Land by-election by a large margin. Which leaves the question of if the parties' days are well and truly numbered. The UCP has been winning elections since May and they haven't shown any signs of stopping, which leads into my next point.
Poor reputation
Ever since JVTA'S reported treachery as prime minister, the party's reputation has been severely dented. As well as that, RoryRDMB's personal popularity has increased following the Second Great Realmplex War, linking to the UCP's increased popularity. This could also be linked to some perceptions that the party fails to get things done while the UCP has arguably achieved more.
What can be done?
Well, the only 2 possible solutions are:
1.Petitioning for a form of electoral reform such as MMP or Proportional representation to guarantee the party can win seats even if it doesn't win an electorate (Both of these mean that members are elected based on how many votes a party gets nationwide instead of how many electorates it wins).
2.Replacing JVTA as leader with someone else like SpecShark, which is unlikely.
Conclusion
Although the party may well make a comeback it is looking increasingly bleak for them and unless drastic measures are introduced, they may well be doomed.
