This morning I sent out a message to all of the candidates for moderator asking for their answers to a list of questions the first (and so far only) person to respond was specshark so I made an interview script from the questions he answered!. Enjoy.
TheAllSeeingBird: Thank you for joining me today, SpecShark. Let's start with the first question: do you want to change anything about the current moderation system if so what do you want to change?
SpecShark: Yes I would change the rulebook, add more rules generalize the rules to prevent loopholes and I plan to look at situations independantly and not just go straight to the rule book.
TheAllSeeingBird: Interesting. Moving on to the second question, what's your opinion on the length of SandwichPress and Clamlum's ban?
SpecShark: For this instance of hacking, I believe 3 weeks is fair but it should have been that from the start instead of starting at 1 week.
TheAllSeeingBird: That makes sense. What about your opinion on TaiTheLegend's ban?
SpecShark: In my opinion, Tai shouldn’t have been banned at all. He only removed part of a tower that was in his territory, he thought he was within his rights, and the tower hadn’t been touched in forever. I think the punishment should have been a warning, especially since the tower was rolled back anyway.
TheAllSeeingBird: Okay. Should there be a change to Realmplex's current rules?
SpecShark: Yes, the rules are too specific, allowing people to claim certain punishments for specific crimes. For example, Ada and Clamlum's ban was originally 1 week since that’s the rule book's punishment for the kind of hacking they were doing. Hacking in general should be punished the same.
TheAllSeeingBird: That's an interesting point. What about changes to the system of war?
SpecShark: I think the war system is fine how it is currently.
TheAllSeeingBird: Okay. How do you think Ada was as a moderator?
SpecShark: I was not a fan of Ada’s moderation. She was cruel in her responses, didn’t listen to certain reasons why her punishments were wrong, and muted people for jokes that even when explained, did not result in unmuting.
TheAllSeeingBird: And lastly, how do you think Sasha was as a moderator?
SpecShark: I didn't really experience many admin decisions under Sasha, so I’m not sure how they did.
TheAllSeeingBird: Thank you for your time and sharing your thoughts with us, SpecShark.
